Weddings are my favorite! There’s something special about seeing a full vision come to life, about creating an inspired and cohesive event, and sharing these special moments to celebrate love. When you book me as your wedding cake artist, my aim is to provide you with more than just a dessert to serve your guests, but rather an exceptional experience and enjoyable planning process. While I offer a large amount of customization, I am always happy to provide as much guidance as you might need, from flavor suggestions to recommended vendors, I’m always attentive and here to help. On your wedding day, your desserts will be my first and foremost priority, guaranteeing that you will have nothing to worry about but enjoying them. Consultations are always free, and are a great time to talk about your overall vision before getting into the nitty-gritty details. Starting in June 2018, Gathered will ask for a minimum order of $500 during summer weekend weddings (June-August)
Why? As a single-employee company, time is often my most limited resource. When you book me for your wedding desserts, I do my utmost to provide something that exceeds your expectations in every way. From in-person meetings, to custom design development, to special ingredient sourcing and flower growing, each wedding is thoughtfully and intentionally planned. I often set aside the entire day or entire weekend for your event, and do not want to jeopardize quality or service by splitting my attention. After much deliberation, I’ve determined the only way to do this is to require a minimum order for these in-demand weekends. I hope you’ll understand.
What does this mean? Ultimately this will mean I can provide you with even better service, attention and customization, but also that smaller events are hard to schedule far in advance. As June-August book up, these wedding orders will shape my rotating menu, and allow me to offer similar items for small orders, but without the menu selection I usually provide. This will also mean that I am able to do fewer events each month, so if you are considering booking a wedding order, please get in touch as early as possible.
How will it work? As I book events for the summer, I’ll post a rotating weekly menu based on this, which can be ordered off of for events totaling less than $500. This will also allow for more flash sales and popup markets, making it easier to snag a single serving of Gathered treats. If a weekend does not get booked for a wedding, I will open it up one month beforehand for no-limit custom orders.
